AdLinkFly and Mighty URL Shortener are both self-hosted PHP scripts from Mighty Scripts. You use them to run your own short-link website on your own domain. Both scripts make short links. Both have membership plans, statistics, multiple domains, and API tools. But they are made for two different businesses. This guide explains the difference in simple words, so you can choose the right script before you buy.
The short answer
- Choose AdLinkFly if you want to run a paid link-shortening website, like AdFly or ouo.io. Your members earn money from the visitors that their links get. Advertisers can also buy traffic.
- Choose Mighty URL Shortener if you want a branded link shortener, like your own private bit.ly. You get detailed click statistics and smart targeting. Members do not earn from their links. You earn from paid membership plans and ads.
The main difference: who earns money
AdLinkFly: members earn from their links
- Publishers shorten links. Your members make short links and share them.
- Visitors see an ad. Before the visitor reaches the destination, an ad page with a short countdown appears. It is a full-page (interstitial) ad or a banner ad. This depends on the member's plan.
- Real visits earn money. Each visit is checked against your rules, for example a daily limit for each visitor, proxy and ad-blocker detection, and CAPTCHA. Visits that pass are qualified views. For each qualified view, the publisher earns your CPM rate for the visitor's country. CPM is the amount for 1,000 views.
- You earn from the ads. You can show your own ads (Simple mode). Or advertisers can buy targeted campaigns (Campaigns mode). Publishers ask for a withdrawal, and you approve the payments.

Mighty URL Shortener: members manage links, you earn
Mighty URL Shortener does not pay members for visits to their links. Members use it to make branded short links, send each visitor to the right page, and see who clicked. As the site owner, you earn money in two ways. You sell paid membership plans. You also show ads on the short-link page. Each plan decides if its members see ads.
