What does self-hosted mean?

FAQ answer from Mighty Scripts.

General Updated 16 October 2026

Self-hosted means that you install the script on your own hosting or server. We do not host it for you.

When you buy AdLinkFly, Mighty URL Shortener, or PressFly, you get:

  • A license for the script
  • Download access to the files from your account
  • Updates and support during your active updates and support period

Then you install the script on your hosting, with your own domain. Your website runs on your server, so you control the website and its data. You are also responsible for the server, its security, and backups.

A hosted service is different. With a hosted service, another company runs the software for you, usually for a monthly fee. Our scripts are not hosted services.

You need hosting that meets the requirements of the script. Read how to choose hosting, or ask us if you are not sure.
